Our group fitness classes at the Dixon YMCA help you build strength, improve flexibility, and support overall wellness. Led by certified instructors, we offer a variety of options from high-energy cardio to mind-body classes in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Land Fitness Classes

Abtastic- Instructor: Kayla Gaffey

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays at 5:25 PM

Strengthen and tone your core with targeted exercises including crunches, planks, leg raises, and more. This class focuses on building core stability, improving posture, and defining the midsection.

Studio Kickboxing-Instructor: Kayla Gaffey

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

A high-intensity, non-contact workout combining martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. Burn calories, build stamina, and improve coordination in a fun, energetic environment.

Power Pump-Instructor: Vikki Gipson

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 5:00 AM

Train your entire body with a powerful workout using various equipment and techniques. Designed to build muscular strength, endurance, and overall fitness.

Cardio Mix- Instructor: Dawn Moore

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:00 AM

A high-energy class combining cardio exercises like aerobics, kickboxing, and strength training. Perfect for boosting endurance, burning calories, and having fun to music.

Total Body Blast-Instructor: Andy Quadraro

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:00 PM

This class targets different muscle groups each session using a variety of equipment and training methods. Great for balanced strength, toning, and injury prevention. All levels welcome.

SilverSneakers® Classic-Instructor: Ronna Wheeler

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:00 AM & 11:00 AM

This class is designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement, and activities or daily living. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. The class can be modified depending on fitness levels.

Yoga –Instructor: Deanna Sandrock

Schedule: Wednesdays & Fridays at 8:00 AM

Move with intention through a slower-paced sequence of postures focused on strength, flexibility, balance, and breath. Ideal for relaxation, body awareness, and mindful movement.

Barre Above- Instructor: Katie Matteson

Schedule: Wednesday at 9:00 AM

A fusion of ballet, Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and strength training. Use light weights and high reps to sculpt and tone your body. No dance experience needed — all levels welcome!

Premium Land/Water Fitness Classes

These classes require a monthly registration fee and are open to all fitness levels. Prices listed per month.

Stretch Therapy-Instructor: Racheal Dahler

Schedule: Mondays and Fridays at 9:00 AM

Cost: $25 (Y Members), $50 (Non-Members)

This class focuses on deep stretching and mobility using resistance bands to lengthen and strengthen your muscles safely. With dim lighting and calming music, you’ll enjoy a relaxed environment while working through both held stretches and controlled movements that target major muscle groups. Regular practice can help improve flexibility, support joint health, and reduce everyday stress.

Flex & Tone Fusion-Instructor: Racheal Dahler

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:05 AM

Cost: $25 (Y Members), $50 (Non-Members)

This class blends Pilates-inspired movements, strength training, balance drills, and deep stretching using a variety of equipment for a full-body workout.

Metabolic Hybrid- Trainer Andy Quadraro

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7PM

Cost: $25 (Y Members), $50 (Non-Members)

Join Personal Trainer Andy Quadraro for a high-energy, total-body circuit workout! This small-group class combines strength, power, and cardio in a rotating format designed to deliver maximum results in minimum time.

Water Fitness Classes

Take advantage of the water’s natural resistance in these joint-friendly, effective workouts!

Shallow Water Fitness-Instructor: Katey Dickinson

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays at 9:00 AM

Cost: $22 (Y Members), $52 (Non-Members)

Enjoy a low-impact, full-body workout in the shallow end of the pool using water weights and noodles. Perfect for all levels to improve strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.

Deep Water Fitness-Instructor: Andy Quadraro

Schedule & Cost:

Mon/Wed/Fri at 8:00 AM: $36 (Y Members), $77 (Non-Members)

Tues/Thurs at 7:00 AM & 6:00 PM: $22 (Y Members), $52 (Non-Members)

Challenge your body with a non-impact cardio and strength workout in the deep end. Water belts available. Great for all fitness levels.
